About the role

  • Oversight of the daily workflow and management of the AML TM L1 (Crypto) analysts
  • Monitoring alert queues and ensures required prioritization and allocations across the team
  • Ensure standard processes, role and responsibilities of the AML team while meeting / exceeding SLAs/KPIs across quality and throughput.
  • Support consistent hiring and performance management practices for a team of ~10-15
  • Analyze and review quality & productivity trends and reports feedback to internal & client leadership
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, with exceptional quality under tight deadlines & minimal supervision.
  • Act as a subject matter resource on AML TM policies and procedures for the team specific to the NA, EU or APAC jurisdictions being supported and get into the details of dispositioning alerts as and when needed

Requirements

  • University graduate/postgraduate & CAMS /any industry recognized AML certification will be a plus.
  • Deep, demonstrable expertise in cryptocurrency risks, blockchain analysis, virtual asset service provider (VASP) regulations, and financial crime typologies unique to digital assets.
  • Strong functional knowledge of crypto concepts such as DeFi, tokenomics, NFTs, DAOs, and blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Solana).
  • Proven track record of consistently generating positive returns in digital asset markets.
  • Minimum 7-9 years related to banking, compliance, audit with a minimum of 5-7 years specific experience leading and managing teams involved in AML TM L 1 or L2 across NA, EU & APAC jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or investment management, with specific experience managing cryptocurrency portfolios.
  • Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of regulatory regimes such as AMLD, MiFID, FATCA & EMIR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict tight deadlines.
  • Strong research problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with platforms & tools like Factiva, Dow Jones Risk, Pega, Fenergo, Actimize, World Check, Lexis Nexis and RDC, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or similar.
