About the role

  • Prepare & Draft statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data, including balance sheet, P&L, disclosures, and supplementary reporting packs
  • Coordinate annual statutory audits, providing required documentation and responding to auditor queries
  • Review accounting entries and ensure proper classification, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and other Finance teams to collect and validate statutory reporting inputs
  • Support preparation of director reports, management confirmations, and regulatory filings
  • Monitor and consult changes in local accounting and reporting rules and support assessing their impact
  • Drive continuous improvements in closing, reporting, documentation quality, and process automation
  • Work with external service providers where required (auditors, advisors, outsourced accounting firms)
  • Maintain strong governance and documentation standards for all statutory files

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in statutory accounting, external reporting
  • Strong understanding of local GAAP combined with experience with IFRS
  • Proven experience preparing statutory financial statements and managing audits
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, statutory reporting, and audit requirements
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP)
  • Ability to interpret accounting standards and prepare technical accounting analyses
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and documentation standards
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and quality mindset
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Professional certification would be an advantage (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, local accounting qualification)
