About the role
- As Head of Quality Operations, you take disciplinary and technical responsibility for the quality organization at the Altstätten site and consistently develop structures, processes and the team.
- You ensure stable and effective quality assurance across the entire value chain – from quality planning through serial production quality and shop floor management to assembly, CNC machining, operational supplier quality, incoming inspection and measurement equipment monitoring.
- You are responsible for local complaint management and initiate sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to continuously improve product and process quality.
- In addition, you manage relevant quality metrics, systematically analyze performance and derive structured and effective measures.
- You ensure site-specific compliance with and further development of the quality management system (e.g., ISO 9001), take responsibility for audit preparations and support both internal and external audits.
- You contribute your quality expertise early in development projects and ensure robust and industrialized implementation.
- You actively contribute to achieving local quality objectives, support the global quality strategy and ensure its effective embedding at the site.
Requirements
- You have a technical vocational qualification (e.g., in mechanics, mechatronics or electronics).
- You have also successfully completed further training in a technical field and in quality assurance/quality management.
- During several years of professional experience, you have gained solid experience in leading and developing a team in the context of quality assurance and are confident both in people management and technical challenges.
- You are well versed in common quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and Quality Core Tools.
- You are proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
- You are experienced and confident in using SAP, in particular the QM (Quality Management) module.
- You are not only a team player but also stand out through your open manner, assertiveness and a forward-looking, networked way of thinking.
- In addition, you possess strong interpersonal skills and impress with your communicative personality.
