About the role
- Develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications for insurance operations
- Monitor batch processes and troubleshoot production issues
- Analyze business requirements and create technical specifications
- Perform debugging, SQL analysis, and performance optimization
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security compliance
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide team updates
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
- Support production environments through on-call rotation
Requirements
- Hands on experience in COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS with strong understanding of Z OS environments
- Experience in batch monitoring abend analysis job scheduling and production support
- Good knowledge of SQL database structures query tuning and data analysis
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and understanding of ITIL processes related to incident problem and change management
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to manage critical production issues
- Exposure to financial or insurance domain processes is preferred
