About the role
- Own and maintain client tag manager platforms (typically Google Tag Manager), ensuring scalable and organized implementation
- Design and manage data layer specifications to support robust GA4 tracking and marketing pixel deployment
- Partner with legal, marketing, and development teams to manage cookie consent compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)
- Implement and maintain tag behavior aligned to user consent choices using consent management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc)
- Troubleshoot tag firing, event tracking, and dataLayer issues across web platforms
- Serve as a strategic advisor on data privacy impacts to marketing and analytics tracking
- Ensure accurate GA4 tracking for all key user interactions and digital performance measurement
- Interpret data with statistical rigor and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve ecommerce performance
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that monitor experience and revenue-driving KPIs
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
- Build trust with business leaders by ensuring accurate data interpretation and transparency in reporting
- Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and legal teams to align on goals and data requirements
Requirements
- Strong expertise in GA4 and its event-based tracking model
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, including custom HTML tags, triggers, and variables
- Familiarity with JavaScript and Best Practices
- Experience working with consent management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc)
- Must be located in either Atlanta, Dallas, New York or Chicago area to be considered for this role.
