About the role
- Directs the strategic and operational objectives of their organization
- Manages their organization's staffing needs, guides the career development, and drives performance and pay discussions of team members
- Plays a central role in defining the scope of projects, understanding a customer's issues/problems, and conceiving customer deliverables
- Performs in both a people management capacity and a technical leadership capacity
- Performance is typically measured by the capture of the consulting engagement and/or utilization (i.e., billable hours for the department) or performance against budget
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership experience in consulting or related fields.
- In-depth understanding of industry requirements and business environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in consulting tools, project management tools, and solution design frameworks.
