About the role
- Work with external or internal clients to build a holistic view of business strategy, capabilities, services, governance, organizational domains, and key business processes
- Lead or contribute to the development of capability maps, value streams, and process models for QSR restaurant and digital operations
- Contribute to enterprise and domain architectures for restaurant systems, digital ordering platforms, and back‑office QSR technologies
- Participate in architecture and design reviews for major projects and feature sets
- Support architecture across key QSR systems including POS, KDS, BOH, Kiosk, drive‑thru technologies, mobile ordering, loyalty, CRM, and payment systems
- Evaluate restaurant and digital technologies for functional fit, scalability, reliability, and interoperability
- Ensure consistent design patterns and experience flows across digital, in‑store, and off‑premise channels
- Collaborate with senior architects to define architecture guidelines, integration patterns, and governance processes
- Support delivery teams during design, build, integration, testing, and deployment to ensure the solution aligns with intended architecture
- Assist in troubleshooting architecture or integration issues and ensure design decisions uphold quality and best practices
- Ensures SRE and observability strategies align with enterprise architecture standards, cloud strategy, and DevSecOps operating model
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 7–10 years of experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, business architecture, software design, or restaurant/retail technology roles
- Strong understanding of QSR, retail, or hospitality operating models and technologies (POS, ordering, payments, BOH, loyalty)
- Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), integrations, APIs, and modern architectural patterns
- Ability to translate business requirements into capability models, process flows, and solution designs
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical stakeholder groups
- Familiarity with business architecture or enterprise architecture frameworks (Capgemini Architecture Method, TOGAF, IAF, or similar) is a plus
- Curiosity, learning agility, and a desire to grow into broader architecture leadership responsibilities
