About the role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive payments strategy in alignment with the FS sector and industry goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of payments professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation and compliance within the payments function
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the best e2e solution for clients
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payment systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
  • Contribute to business development, internal initiatives, and professional training to support career development

Requirements

  • Proven senior level experience in payments operations, in progressively responsible roles
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving results
  • In-depth knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and industry best practices leveraging a robust network of key stakeholders and clients, trade associations, regulators in the payment space in the UK and Europe
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management principles in the payments domain
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically, make data-driven decisions, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery
  • Business development experience generating c.£4m of direct consulting revenues (Vice President)
