About the role
- Managing HVAC engineering projects for pharmaceutical clients from concept through design, installation, and commissioning
- Creating detailed technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for cleanroom HVAC systems that meet strict regulatory requirements
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, EMA and other pharmaceutical industry regulations related to environmental control systems
- Designing and implementing specialized HVAC solutions for controlled environments including temperature, humidity, air pressure, and filtration requirements
- Conducting risk assessments and validation activities for critical HVAC systems in pharmaceutical facilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including process engineers, quality assurance, and validation specialists
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during design, implementation, and qualification phases
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC design and project engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences industries
- Knowledge of cleanroom design principles and GMP requirements for HVAC systems
- Experience with HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools)
- Understanding of pharmaceutical facility requirements including containment, cross-contamination prevention, and environmental monitoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
