About the role
- Design and build mid-sized applications on the ServiceNow platform, including tables, relationships, Service Catalog, Workspaces, and process modeling using Process Automation Designer and Playbooks.
- Develop automations using Flow Designer (flows, subflows, actions), decision policies, and integrations via IntegrationHub Spokes (e.g., Slack, Jira, Active Directory).
- Implement and maintain REST/SOAP integrations, Transform Maps, data control and security, and use MID Server when required.
- Support and operate the instance: health checks, participation in upgrades, incident resolution (P1/P2), execution of regression/ATF tests, and support during post-go-live hypercare.
- Ensure governance and maintenance of technical and functional documentation (how-to guides, specifications, test evidence), following NowCreate standards.
- Support the functional team and stakeholders (PO/EM) with clear communication, contributing to workshops, refinements, and sprint reviews.
- Act autonomously to deliver end-to-end: technical design, development, testing, documentation and support.
- Incorporate Now Platform AI agents (AI Agent Studio, Orchestrator, and Control Tower) where applicable to corporate use cases.
- Apply continuous improvement/DevOps practices: observability, logging, monitoring, error handling, recurrence prevention and attention to technical debt.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT (Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or related fields).
- Proven experience in low-code and pro-code development on App Engine, including building apps, flows, integrations and supporting corporate instances.
- Experience with Service Portal/Workspaces and UI Builder/Now Experience.
- Experience with Process Automation Designer and Playbooks.
- Flow Designer: modeling with flows, subflows, actions and IntegrationHub.
- Development and maintenance of REST/SOAP integrations.
- Experience using MID Server.
- Configuration of Transform Maps, authentication and security (SSO, ACLs).
- Participation in platform upgrades.
- Health checks and governance of environments (DEV/QA/PROD).
- Standardized technical and functional documentation.
- Familiarity with Now Platform AI features: AI Agent Studio, Orchestrator, Control Tower.
- Ability to incorporate AI into apps for automation and intelligent triage.
