About the role

  • Lead and govern change initiatives across Core Banking Platforms
  • Ensure seamless delivery of programmes spanning retail banking, business banking, payments, lending, and regulatory compliance
  • Create and maintain delivery plans aligned to the Product Owner roadmap
  • Establish delivery disciplines, Agile cadence, and governance standards
  • Proactively manage issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Own delivery status reporting
  • Lead vendor and third-party management including RFPs and contract negotiation
  • Ensure alignment with bank-wide governance forums and compliance approvals
  • Take end-to-end ownership for delivering banking products and platform enhancements

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering banking transformation programmes
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous delivery models in a banking environment
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset with the ability to design practical solutions
  • Ability to interpret and manage the intersection of complex business needs and legacy systems
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and delivering in a regulated financial services environment
  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry, especially around regulatory change such as PSD2 and FCA guidelines
