About the role
- Define and drive the test strategy and architecture for RG platforms (Fiber and Mobility Gateways).
- Design end-to-end test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing.
- Lead test automation framework design, including CI/CD integration for firmware and software releases.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Field teams to identify test requirements and edge cases.
- Mentor and guide test engineers, ensuring best practices in test design and execution.
- Analyze defects and provide root cause insights to the Engineering team.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, simulators, and test infrastructure to enhance testing efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of new testing methodologies, such as AI-assisted test generation.
- Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with offshore teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in software/hardware testing, with 5+ years in networking device testing (CEP/RG preferred)
- Strong understanding of network protocols: xPON (GPON and XGSPON), DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Cellular (LTE/5G)
- Experience in Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi6e or Wi-Fi7 and Spirent Test Centre or IXIA
- Good Understanding of USP/TR-369/CWMP/TR-69/TR-181/TR-98
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for firmware/software deployment and validation.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with offshore teams.
