About the role

  • Define and drive the test strategy and architecture for RG platforms (Fiber and Mobility Gateways).
  • Design end-to-end test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing.
  • Lead test automation framework design, including CI/CD integration for firmware and software releases.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Field teams to identify test requirements and edge cases.
  • Mentor and guide test engineers, ensuring best practices in test design and execution.
  • Analyze defects and provide root cause insights to the Engineering team.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, simulators, and test infrastructure to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Drive the adoption of new testing methodologies, such as AI-assisted test generation.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with offshore teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 15+ years of experience in software/hardware testing, with 5+ years in networking device testing (CEP/RG preferred)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols: xPON (GPON and XGSPON), DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Cellular (LTE/5G)
  • Experience in Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi6e or Wi-Fi7 and Spirent Test Centre or IXIA
  • Good Understanding of USP/TR-369/CWMP/TR-69/TR-181/TR-98
  • Expertise in test automation frameworks (Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for firmware/software deployment and validation.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with offshore teams.
