About the role

  • Provide crucial support to project managers across approximately twelve industrial projects in the energy sector.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules using MS Project.
  • Creating and optimizing cost breakdown structures and budgetary frameworks for each project.
  • Building and maintaining organizational structures in collaboration with project managers.
  • Establishing and updating risk management plans using Clarity for risk structure, data storage, and reporting.
  • Developing and optimizing project planning models (scope breakdown) to help the organization implement effective management systems.
  • Supporting and monitoring the entire resource management process within the project organization by developing and updating scope breakdown and organizational structure (OBS).
  • Organizing and leading project team risk analyses and handling administrative and organizational follow-up (encoding, contingency creation, integration into planning and budget).
  • Serving as the point of contact for questions related to planning and resource management tools.
  • Identifying, reporting, and when possible, resolving conflicts related to resources, budget, or scheduling.
  • Participating in field visits in controlled areas (walkdowns) with the project team and potentially advising on intervention procedures.
  • Establishing and updating project KPIs and preparing reports and dashboards for committee reviews.
  • Developing new project management models and procedures such as resource management, risk management, and schedule management methods.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Bio-engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience or recent graduate with interest in project management
  • Fluent in French
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and standard project management tools (MS Project)
  • Leadership skills and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to express analyses and solutions clearly and with conviction
  • Pragmatic, autonomous, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Enjoyment of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and process orientation
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment and adapt to established procedures.
