About the role

  • As a Data Consultant for the public sector, you lead a variety of public projects and develop new data and analytics capabilities for our public-sector clients in collaboration with Capgemini’s sales and account teams.
  • You design data-driven solutions to optimize administrative processes and support decision-making.
  • You analyze complex data structures and create dashboards, reports, and AI-based applications.
  • You act as a trusted advisor to our clients in developing Data & AI strategies, platform architectures, and in selecting modern technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra).
  • You manage interdisciplinary teams and take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex transformation projects in the Data & AI domain.
  • You collaborate with partners and other Capgemini business units within the Public domain to identify additional business opportunities.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, another STEM discipline, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 4 years of experience in the public sector, ideally in projects with government agencies, ministries, or municipal institutions
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence; certifications (e.g., IREB, Scrum Product Owner, AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus
  • Experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and initial experience with modern Data & AI platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra)
  • Expertise in Data Governance, data integration, data modeling, and DataOps
  • Familiarity with typical Business Analyst skills: requirements management, stakeholder communication, and process analysis
  • Very good German (min. C1) and English skills
