About the role
- Overall responsibility for operational plant security at complex sites of a technology company with a strong focus on chemical processes
- Planning, controlling and optimizing all site security processes (access control, site protection, visitor management, emergency management)
- Leading and developing the plant security team and KPI-based quality assurance of the external security service provider
- System optimization & digitization: supporting the continuous development of the security landscape, introduction of new technologies and digitalization of processes
- Analyzing security-related incidents and deriving preventive measures
- Supporting our clients on all matters related to the provision of operational security services
- Implementing security concepts, risk assessments and emergency plans in coordination with the Head of Plant Security
- Close collaboration with stakeholders from production, management, facilities operations, HSE and authorities
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry-specific guidelines
Requirements
- Completed university degree, ideally in security management, security and hazard control, or a related field. Other academic backgrounds are welcome if there is demonstrable experience or a connection to public hazard control/civil protection structures and corresponding experience can be shown
- Several years of professional experience in site security/plant security, preferably in the (process) industry/chemical sector
- Leadership skills, strong organizational ability and an authentic, team-oriented leadership style
- Experience in quality assurance of security services
- Ability to assess security-related aspects using data and confidence in preparing and presenting findings
- Solid understanding of modern security technologies and strong analytical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills, resilience and confident handling of critical situations
- Willingness to further develop existing structures and implement innovative security approaches
- Confident user of standard IT applications (Microsoft Office, SAP GUI, CAFM)
- High service orientation and customer focus
