About the role
- Design, develop, and support B2B integration solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect: Direct
- Configure routing rules, protocols (CD, MQ, API, SFTP, etc.), and manage partner onboarding for B2B transactions
- Develop and maintain custom components and scripts to enhance Sterling functionality
- Troubleshoot file transfer issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted business operations
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and patching of Sterling environments
- Collaborate with business units and trading partners to implement secure file transfer requirements
- Document processes, technical designs, and system changes for compliance and transparency
- Ensure adherence to security and audit standards across all B2B integration processes
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and support teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect: Direct, and Control Center
- Strong understanding of codelist and SFG routing rules
- Experience with protocols such as SFTP, MQ, HTTP/S, AS2, and Connect: Direct
- Expertise in partner onboarding and certificate/key management for B2B integrations
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for Sterling (like IBM Control Center)
- Solid understanding of file encryption/decryption and secure data transmission
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience in cloud-based deployments of Sterling (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Exposure to DevOps tools for CI/CD in integration environments
- Experience with IBM Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, or Sterling Connect: Direct.
