About the role
- Design and develop mechanical structures and components for consumer appliances
- Work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineering teams for seamless integration of mechanical systems
- Incorporate environmental and sustainability considerations into designs while optimizing system efficiency
- Facilitate the transition from concept to production and uphold quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in system-level electro-mechanical design, particularly within the consumer appliances domain
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and DFX principles
- Proficient in designing parts for machining, sheet metal, die-casting, and injection molding processes
- Execute prototype development and conduct mechanical performance tests to ensure compliance with specifications
- Apply strong analytical skills to resolve design challenges and enhance product performance
- Basic understanding of product qualification standards
- Proficiency in CAD tools, with mandatory experience in UGNX (OR) Creo 8
- Exposure to CATIA tool is desirable
