About the role
- Develop and implement strategies for network monitoring that align with overall business objectives and IT priorities
- Evaluate, recommend, and deploy network monitoring tools, ensuring they meet the customer’s specific needs and integrate with existing infrastructure
- Lead and mentor a team of network monitoring specialists, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance
- Oversee the monitoring of network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues
- Establish and manage alert systems, ensuring timely response to network events
- Work closely with other IT teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
- Generate regular reports on network performance and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in network monitoring
Requirements
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and troubleshooting techniques
- Must be a technical manager
- Hands-on experience with various network monitoring tools (e.g., SevOne, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.)
- Exposure to a complex IT environment is required
- Strong understanding of alert life cycles, ITSM procedures, and methodology
- Knowledge of cloud-based network monitoring solutions
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
