Perform advanced and complex customer support activities involving service, installation, modification and repair of potable and non-potable water treatment equipment on cruise ships
Serve as the on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems
Travel to ports worldwide (west coast, Alaska, Australia, Italy, Barcelona, Athens, Japan and other locations) to service systems and perform chemistry/pH analysis
Train on-board staff to ensure proper working equipment during cruises
Conduct pre-installation site surveys and perform on-site installation, preventative maintenance, service and repair
Book travel using company credit card and manage travel logistics; receive per-diem based on port
Report to Fort Lauderdale shop when not traveling and perform maintenance and other duties
Requirements
Must be able to obtain a passport
Mechanical background and strong mechanical maintenance skills
Ability to learn or have water chemistry experience
Experience with pumps, valves, or water treatment systems (MM, Coast Guard MT, Nuke ELT or similar preferred)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to conduct pre-installation site surveys, on-site installation, preventative maintenance, service and repair
Ability to perform chemistry and pH analysis on water treatment systems
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 8-14 days per month (seasonal variation)
