Play a key role protecting the business from financial crime risks and hold a supervisory position within Operational Compliance supporting Anti-Financial Crime Team Leaders.
Identify, investigate, and mitigate threats related to money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and other criminal activity.
Conduct complex investigations on high-risk customers, including in-depth EDD focusing on SOF and SOW validation.
Analyse bank statements and supporting documents to identify potential AML, fraud, or AFC risk indicators.
Escalate suspicious activity and prepare SAR/STRs in line with internal policy and regulatory expectations.
Collaborate with and train other AFC team members to strengthen controls and improve processes.
Support planning functions to manage day-to-day operations, task list management, and team organisation to ensure BAU completion.
Keep up to date with emerging risk typologies, particularly those relevant to online gambling.
Interact with customers (inbound and outbound) via calls, chats, and emails as part of investigations.
Support management on performance management of the team through upskilling, training, quality checks, coaching and sharing best practice.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in AML/EDD, ideally within the online gambling sector.
Strong working knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations (MLRs) and Gambling Commission guidance.
Experience conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) including Source of Funds (SOF) and Source of Wealth (SOW) validation.
Experience analysing bank statements and supporting documents to identify AML/fraud risk indicators.
Experience preparing SAR/STRs and handling suspicious activity escalations in line with policy and regulatory expectations.
Experience mentoring or training junior analysts and supporting AFC operations.
Ability to interact with customers via calls, chats, and emails.
Willingness to work shifts: 40 hours/week across 5 out of 7 days, hours between 07:00 and 21:00 BST.
Must be UK-based (remote role requires UK residence).
