About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, software licenses, SAAS agreements, asset purchase agreements, services agreements, data protection agreements, equipment leases and real property leases.
- Provide advice to the business on legal matters, including contract interpretation and enforcement, risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate policies.
- Provide advice to the business on data privacy law matters.
- Assist with corporate governance matters.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the legal department.
- Maintain current knowledge of the law in matters of interest to the company.
- Perform selected assignments and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's or Advanced degree (JD from accredited law school).
- At least 8 years of experience as a corporate attorney handling commercial contracts (with at least two years at a law firm).
- State Bar membership in one or more states.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to review, understand, analyze, and interpret complex legal agreements.
- Contract drafting and negotiating experience required.
- English required.
