About the role

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, software licenses, SAAS agreements, asset purchase agreements, services agreements, data protection agreements, equipment leases and real property leases.
  • Provide advice to the business on legal matters, including contract interpretation and enforcement, risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate policies.
  • Provide advice to the business on data privacy law matters.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the legal department.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the law in matters of interest to the company.
  • Perform selected assignments and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's or Advanced degree (JD from accredited law school).
  • At least 8 years of experience as a corporate attorney handling commercial contracts (with at least two years at a law firm).
  • State Bar membership in one or more states.
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to review, understand, analyze, and interpret complex legal agreements.
  • Contract drafting and negotiating experience required.
  • English required.
