About the role
- Act as an internal management consultant to the SVP of Clin Ops: frame ambiguous problems, develop options, and drive decisions to execution.
- Lead high-impact initiatives tied to care delivery scale, operational performance, clinician experience, and clinical risk.
- Build executive-ready narratives, pre-reads, and decision memos grounded in data, constraints, and tradeoffs.
- Own the SVP Ops “front door”: intake, triage, prioritization, and escalation paths for Clinical Ops work.
- Run the SVP Ops operating rhythm (priority reviews, cross-functional standups, milestone/action follow-through).
- Maintain core operating artifacts (OKR tracker, decision log, dependency map, risks/issues tracker, action register).
- Partner with analytics and operational owners to ensure KPI reporting answers the right questions; surface trends/risks and drive corrective actions.
- Connect Clinical Ops, Quality/Safety, Compliance, Product/Informatics, Finance, People/HR, and Care Delivery leaders to move work forward.
- Resolve ownership gaps, decision-right issues, and resourcing constraints.
- Coordinate complex rollouts so changes land cleanly (owners, timelines, adoption plan, measurement).
- Support P&L oversight: forecasting, variance review, performance-to-plan narratives.
- Support budget planning and resource allocation decisions (headcount, vendor spend, key investments).
- Translate operational levers into financial impact (utilization, productivity, quality-driven rework, staffing model changes).
- Coordinate high-severity operational events; manage exec comms and ensure post-incident actions are owned and closed.
- Support org design and role clarity (spans/layers, RACIs, hiring priorities, durable ownership models)
Requirements
- 5+ years in management consulting, strategy & ops, program leadership, or a high-growth tech/healthcare environment.
- Experience driving cross-functional work in healthcare, digital health, or regulated operations.
- Strong analytical instincts: can structure problems, interpret data, and make clear recommendations.
- Excellent executive communication: crisp synthesis, strong writing, and confident stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to run multiple workstreams with real accountability for outcomes.
- High judgment and discretion; comfortable handling sensitive information.
- Strong project/program management muscles and a bias toward action in ambiguity.
- Experience supporting senior clinical/operations leaders in a scaling environment.
- Familiarity with clinical operations, quality/safety, compliance, or care delivery workflows in virtual care.
- Experience partnering with Finance on forecasting, budget planning, or operating review cadences.
