About the role

  • Contribute to People Operations work focused on time, labor, absence management, benefits, payroll and maintaining employee information in Oracle HCM.
  • Provide direct customer service and operational support to ensure prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all customers.
  • Support end users of the Oracle HCM system and answer routine end user questions related to timekeeping, system navigation, and basic HCM functions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Oracle HCM timekeeping and absence management; maintain documentation and troubleshoot/resolving issues.
  • Process education-related benefits for employees and their dependents in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Monitor for and correct Oracle HCM data issues based on scheduled audit reports and issues identified while supporting employees.
  • Create and maintain Oracle HCM records for contractors, visiting scholars, and various other non-employee categories.
  • Collect workplace injury information and initiate Workers Compensation process.
  • Support HR operations team in backup, ad-hoc and special project capacity to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Participate in departmental process improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferably in Human Resources, office management or related field.
  • Interest in gaining experience and exposure to a wide range of people-related functions with Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong attention to details and ability to manage complex tasks and projects.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stressful environment and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to project a warm, welcoming, and competent image to customers and meet all customers where they are in providing support.
  • Experience working with cloud-based human capital management systems such as Oracle or Workday is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, team collaboration and database systems.
  • Solid knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
  • Passionate about learning and developing new skills within a fast-paced department and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Must be able to perform long periods of computer work and maintain confidentiality.
  • Offer contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and references.
