About the role

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test automation scripts using Cypress
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution documentation
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams in an Agile environment to understand product requirements and translate them into test cases
  • Identify test automation opportunities and implement automation frameworks
  • Maintain and enhance existing test automation suites
  • Perform API testing using REST APIs and relevant tools
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues
  • Responsible for release sign-off and ensuring quality gates are met
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests
  • Collaborate with the team to improve test processes and methodologies
  • Leverage AI coding tools to improve testing efficiency and code quality

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation testing
  • Strong proficiency in Cypress for test automation
  • Experience in developing and executing automation test scripts
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Experience with REST API testing and tools (Postman or similar)
  • Understanding of SaaS systems and web application testing
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient test code
  • Experience creating test plans and test execution documentation
  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to new technologies and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Knowledge of AI coding tools and assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
  • Experience in automating Desktop/WPF applications
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow )
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Rest Assured
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • Knowledge of insurance or financial services domain
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure Repos)
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification.
