Engineer

• Support Michaels’ engineers, building owners, utilities, consultants, and partners to save energy and lower utility bills
• Perform energy analysis using established calculation templates
• Collect data from online or in-person sources to support engineer work
• Assist in report writing for customers
• Perform research tasks
• Develop new calculation templates and tools
• Learn from and shadow experienced engineers on energy efficiency, utilities, HVAC, industrial systems, lighting, strategic energy management, audits, RCx studies, custom rebates, electrification

Energy Engineer Intern

We’re looking for entry-level engineers who are passionate about energy conservation AND have the technical chops to tackle energy cost-saving projects for all types of buildings.
Gathering building info through visual inspection, chats with the customer/operator, taking photographs, and through measuring and data logging.
Energy studies, building investigations, collecting and analyzing crucial data preparing reports to show customers where they can save energy.
Review custom energy calculations.
Perform custom energy analysis for all types of commercial and industrial systems such as HVAC, chilled water, industrial refrigeration, and compressed air.
Measurement and verification of energy savings, data analysis, and reporting.
Communication with clients and third parties to gather information necessary to complete projects.
Types of communication include meetings, presentations, and non-technical and technical writing.
