Civil Engineer

• Prepares complex studies, construction documents (drawings and specifications), basic reports and other supporting documentation to support structural building design and reviews those completed by others.
• Act as DOR, as required.
• Provide clear redlines for EIT’s and BIM designers; check design calculations performed by others; conduct Internal Technical Reviews (ITRs) of others work; handle multiple projects; mentor less experienced staff and provide guidance throughout project design.
• Ability to follow MBI project standards and team protocols.
• Ability to review and comment on construction submittals, respond to Contractor Requests for Information (RFI) and review corrective action for field errors.
• Communicates with Senior Engineers, other disciplines and Project Managers, schedules and attends internal meetings, as necessary, and documents important action items for the next meeting.
• Ability to interact with existing and new Clients to sell MBI engineering services, specifically structural.
• Responsible for maintaining technical knowledge and professional licensure through completion of various training activities: attending seminars, reviewing professional publications, attending in-house systems/management training.
• Occasionally visits project sites, reporting and documenting findings to Project Manager and/or Owner.

Structural Engineer

Business Development Rep

• Develop and execute strategic business plans for New England operations.

• Serve as a technical expert, lead complex projects, and mentor junior engineers.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Accountant

• Perform data analytics at a project level to monitor project performance and provide high level comments regarding the financial status of projects.
• Coordinate completion of project setups with the Project Manager to ensure that the project is in accordance with the terms of the contract and MBI Approval Authority Policy.
• Responsible for monitoring and addressing project maintenance within Oracle and budget/funding updates as needed.
• Responsible for monthly reporting to the Regional Project Accounting Manager including detailed comments on project status that meet exception reporting and projects marked as significant for unbilled and unearned revenue.
• Actively participate in project performance reviews and provide financial commentary on projects where applicable.
• Provide support and assist with requests from the Project Managers and/or Department Managers.

Project Accountant

• Actively engage in robust, consistent communication with key existing clients/programs to determine needs, preferences, and future program opportunities.
• Create and manage near and long-term goals for programs in which the candidate is engaged. Consistent collaboration with Michael Baker National Market/Sector Leads and Operations is essential.
• Routinely assess our program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Continually monitor program risks and strive to address and mitigate.
• Coordinate throughout the IDA Vertical, leveraging the strength and diverse array of talents of our organization to effectively meet our client’s needs.
