💰 $70,000 - $90,000 per year

About the role

  • Support mechanical and plumbing design efforts on one or more projects concurrently under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Perform engineering calculations for HVAC systems, mechanical piping, plumbing, compressed air, and building utility systems.
  • Assist with system selection, equipment sizing, and layout development for new and existing facilities.
  • Participate in energy analysis and load modeling using tools such as Trane TRACE 700.
  • Apply applicable codes and standards to assigned design tasks.
  • Prepare technical studies, design narratives, engineering calculations, and reports in support of project delivery.
  • Assist with the development, editing, and coordination of construction specifications.
  • Support the preparation of construction drawings using Autodesk Revit.
  • Accurately incorporate redlines, comments, and quality review feedback into project deliverables.
  • Clearly communicate technical information to project leads, designers, and drafters.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to support integrated designs.
  • Participate in internal project meetings and maintain professional relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and Engineer In Training (EIT) credential (a plus).
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for solving problems.
  • Organized, assertive, and willing to learn.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace 700 or equivalent load software (a plus).
  • Experience designing mechanical and plumbing systems (a plus).
