About the role
- Support mechanical and plumbing design efforts on one or more projects concurrently under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform engineering calculations for HVAC systems, mechanical piping, plumbing, compressed air, and building utility systems.
- Assist with system selection, equipment sizing, and layout development for new and existing facilities.
- Participate in energy analysis and load modeling using tools such as Trane TRACE 700.
- Apply applicable codes and standards to assigned design tasks.
- Prepare technical studies, design narratives, engineering calculations, and reports in support of project delivery.
- Assist with the development, editing, and coordination of construction specifications.
- Support the preparation of construction drawings using Autodesk Revit.
- Accurately incorporate redlines, comments, and quality review feedback into project deliverables.
- Clearly communicate technical information to project leads, designers, and drafters.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to support integrated designs.
- Participate in internal project meetings and maintain professional relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and Engineer In Training (EIT) credential (a plus).
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for solving problems.
- Organized, assertive, and willing to learn.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace 700 or equivalent load software (a plus).
- Experience designing mechanical and plumbing systems (a plus).
