About the role

  • Prepare preliminary and final engineering plans using AutoCAD (Civil 3D exposure a plus)
  • Develop plan and specification packages from design criteria, sketches, and detailed drawings
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design technicians to support coordinated designs
  • Apply engineering standards, technical manuals, and best practices to meet client expectations
  • Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and proposals
  • Gain exposure to task management responsibilities on select projects
  • Continue building your skills through training, mentorship, and professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license – required
  • 5–10 years of experience preparing engineering drawings and designs
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in working on a variety of public‑sector projects
