About the role
- Lead all university and foundation accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, financial reporting, compliance, and audit management.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards.
- Supervise general accounting, tax, and investment functions.
- Direct accounting operations across all fund types.
- Oversee monthly close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting.
- Manage annual year-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Lead external audit process and state reporting.
- Serve as chart of accounts administrator.
- Conduct financial forecasting, analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting or auditing experience
- CPA or Master’s degree preferred
- Higher education and fund accounting experience preferred
- Experience with financial planning and forecasting
- ERP experience (Workday preferred)
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
