About the role

  • Lead all university and foundation accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, financial reporting, compliance, and audit management.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards.
  • Supervise general accounting, tax, and investment functions.
  • Direct accounting operations across all fund types.
  • Oversee monthly close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Manage annual year-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead external audit process and state reporting.
  • Serve as chart of accounts administrator.
  • Conduct financial forecasting, analysis, and ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting or auditing experience
  • CPA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Higher education and fund accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with financial planning and forecasting
  • ERP experience (Workday preferred)
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
