About the role
- Support client-facing advisory engagements focused on data architecture, analytics modernization, and AI readiness
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis related to data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI adoption in higher education.
- Develop structured evaluation frameworks for assessing institutional data maturity, analytics capabilities, and AI readiness.
- Produce executive-level research deliverables including Guides, white papers, market landscape analyses, and presentation materials.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Analyze trends in data architecture modernization (e.g., cloud data platforms, governance models, integration strategies).
- Evaluate emerging AI use cases in higher education, including student success, operational efficiency, and academic innovation.
- Assess vendor ecosystems, product capabilities, and implementation approaches across the market.
- Design and implement automation tools to improve research workflows, data collection, and knowledge management.
- Build AI-enabled analyst tools (e.g., structured prompt libraries, summarization workflows, market intelligence dashboards).
- Identify opportunities to leverage generative AI and automation to enhance productivity and insight generation.
- Contribute to firm-wide knowledge systems and scalable research infrastructure.
- Contribute to published research and public-facing insights
- Present at industry conferences and webinars
- Participate in client discussions and vendor briefings; represent the Data & AI practice professionally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Public Policy, Higher Education, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Four (4) or more years of experience in management consulting, strategy, analytics, market intelligence, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct structured market research and synthesize findings into executive-ready materials.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience working with data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, BI tools) or comparable analytics environments.
- Experience with LLM-enabled workflows (prompt design, evaluation methods, retrieval-augmented generation concepts)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S.-based and eligible to travel domestically
- Preferred Experience in higher education technology environments, or public sector advisory.
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts (data lakes, warehouses, governance frameworks, integration models).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and generative AI tools.
- Experience building automation scripts, workflow tools, or internal productivity systems.
- Knowledge of vendor landscapes within higher education data and analytics ecosystems.
