About the role

  • Lead and manage multiple complex allocation and indirect rate engagements from planning through delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to State and Local Government leaders.
  • Ensure deliverables comply with federal regulations and applicable state requirements.
  • Oversee financial analyses, data validation, and supporting documentation for plans and rate proposals.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure successful execution.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in: Allocation Plans (CAPs), Indirect Rate Proposals (ICRPs), Public sector financial reporting.
  • Review and approve technical work products to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify process improvements and innovative approaches to enhance client outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and expansion.
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and client presentations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach consultants and senior consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Six (6) years of experience in governmental accounting, allocation, or public sector consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal principles.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred CPA, CGFM, or related professional certification.
  • Experience working directly with State and/or Local Government agencies.
  • Prior consulting experience in a professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting proposal development and business growth initiatives.
