About the role

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, database engineers, Pega administrators, setting goals and driving performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies for cloud adoption, optimization, migration, and cost management across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud systems and databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Manage Pega platform administration, including configuration, upgrades, performance monitoring, and recovery planning.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices, security standards, and governance policies across all platforms.
  • Drive automation, monitor KPIs, and implement FinOps practices to optimize efficiency and cost.
  • Lead cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technology leaders, development teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, provide thought leadership, and maintain vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for cost-effective procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field;
  • 7+ years in cloud engineering or related roles;
  • 3+ years managing technical teams.
  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP;
  • experience with cloud databases (Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB), Oracle administration, and Pega platform operations.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD, automation, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Cloud, database, and Pega certifications; experience with Docker/Kubernetes, FinOps, and ITIL frameworks preferred.
