• Manage provisioning, configuration, and ongoing administration of Azure SQL databases and related services, aligned with client capacity and performance needs.
• Monitor and tune database performance using Azure Monitor, Query Performance Insight, and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal query execution and resource utilisation.
• Perform regular patching, maintenance, and security updates on database servers and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure the client data platform (SQL databases, data lake, file shares) remains operational during supported hours (09:00–17:30).

• Manage automated backups, geo-replication (where appropriate), and disaster-recovery configurations for SQL databases.

• Support client Engineers in maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines across SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Databricks environments.
• Assist with ingestion, transformation, and optimisation of analytic datasets used by client analysts.
• Contribute to scalable architecture patterns informed by Azure best practice for analytics and data lakehouse architectures
• Automate routine tasks (backups, alerts, performance scans, updates) using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or automation services to streamline operations.
• Drive platform improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

SQL Database and Server Manager

• Own bids end-to-end: planning, kick-off, client clarifications, drafting, reviews, signoff, and submission.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality responses.
• Quality assures bid responses against client requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Support pitch creation alongside marketing and delivery teams.
• Run internal bid debriefs and support fellow Bid Managers as needed.

Senior Bid Manager

• Responsible for Ownership and Coordination of actions of all problems and act as a Single Point of Contact for one or more problems.
• To analyse root cause, identify Known Error and coordinating actions to fix the error
• To review the Problem Trends and Planning and Driving Improvement Plan
• To be proactive in identifying problems, analyse and recommend Service Improvement plans with the possible solutions obtained from technical teams for department or business unit
• Develop and establish Problem Management processes and procedures in ServiceNow that meet the requirements of existing services and the agile development and deployment of new services
