About the role
- Overall responsibility for Marketing, Growth and Marketing Operations at metergrid with a clear focus on strategic brand management, communications, visibility, and activating marketing formats across the entire customer journey
- Further development of the B2B brand and building and scaling the B2C brand, including end-to-end responsibility for the electricity sales funnel
- Actively positioning and raising awareness of tenant electricity (Mieterstrom) in the mainstream through strong narratives, campaigns and high-profile formats
- Developing and implementing a clear marketing and brand strategy from the overarching concept to operational execution across all channels
- Holistic planning, management and prioritization of all marketing activities with a particular focus on communication-driven, sales-oriented measures
- Ensuring consistent brand management and a coherent content and communication logic across all touchpoints
- Planning, managing and executing trade shows, events and marketing activations in close cooperation with Sales, partners and external service providers
- Line and functional leadership of marketing functions (Brand & Communication, SEO & Website, Content Marketing) including recruiting, onboarding and continuous target management
- Translating management and leadership topics into clear operational tasks and acting as backup for central operational marketing topics
- Responsibility for marketing systems and processes (e.g. HubSpot, tracking, Heyflow, Jira) as well as managing agencies, freelancers and external partners
- Responsibility for lead planning, budget management and spend allocation, including ensuring lead quality in close coordination with Sales
- Building and owning a weekly KPI and performance reporting process and GTM forecasting to provide a decision basis for management and investors
- Preparing monthly and quarterly investor reports and deriving clear marketing priorities based on data-driven insights
- Operational and strategic management of all performance channels (Google & Bing Ads, Meta, Taboola, SEO) including campaign planning, creative assets, testing and performance reviews
- Continuous optimization of CPL, CAC and marketing efficiency through the interplay of online and offline measures
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior marketing role with overall responsibility for brand, growth and performance and a clear revenue focus
- Deep understanding of strategic brand management, positioning and communications and their impact across the full customer journey (B2B and B2C)
- Strong business and growth mindset with excellent knowledge of performance marketing, funnel logics, tracking and data-driven management
- Experience connecting brand and performance goals and thinking of marketing holistically from awareness through activation to conversion
- Proven experience in KPI setups, forecasting, budget planning and investor reporting
- Ability to think strategically while delivering operationally—from brand and communication strategy to concrete campaign and activity management
- Experience leading small, specialized marketing teams as well as managing agencies, freelancers and external partners
- Confident use of marketing, performance and analytics tools (e.g. HubSpot, Google Analytics, ad platforms, BI tools)
- Structured, self-driven working style with strong ownership, clear prioritization skills and a hands-on mentality
- Clear, reliable communication, high resilience and solution orientation even in dynamic phases with incomplete processes
