About the role

  • Manage order placements across multiple categories and suppliers within Metcash warehouses, ensuring alignment with supply chain needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and the Metcash Trading Team to optimize supply planning, forecasting, and operational collaboration
  • Represent the Replenishment team in key meetings regarding seasonal planning, supplier availability, and stock management (both strategic and operational)
  • Coordinate with Retail Supply and State Buying Teams on forecasts, short code management, aged stock, and customer queries
  • Support smooth execution of supplier changeovers, product updates, and manage supplier constraints within Metcash systems
  • Oversee forecasting for new lines, seasonal items, and baseline products, and communicate key supply plans to suppliers regularly
  • Take ownership of out-of-stock situations, aged stock, short code replenishment, and equitable inventory distribution across state teams
  • Manage stock builds and investment purchasing based on supplier and internal requirements

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in supply and demand planning for a large portfolio across multiple locations within the FMCG sector
  • Proven ability to analyse, deconstruct, and adapt complex demand plans with speed and agility
  • Experience working within or managing complex supply chains with multiple interdependencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of forecasting and inventory management
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and managing multiple stakeholders across functions
  • Proficient in computing applications, including intermediate Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, large data sets, formulas)
