Product Manager

• Lead product development for our **AI Benchmark** - a quarterly tournament with $50K prizes plus a base model leaderboard, aiming to become the premier forecasting benchmark
• Build **AI Forecasting/Sensemaking as a Service** - using AI to scale forecasting
• Push Metaculus to be *the* destination for AI forecasting measurement, commissioning, delivery, and use
• Work closely with bizdev on client relationships and services delivery
• Collaborate with marketing on positioning and go-to-market strategies
• Partner with engineering and design on technical architecture and user experience

Communications

• Media relations (primary): research targets, draft/send pitches, follow up, and maintain reporter relationships; aim for regular, credible placements.
• Announcements & updates: draft site announcements, feature updates, and support on regular newsletters.
• Social collaboration: propose and draft posts, threads, and replies across major platforms; run small experiments; and vary tone appropriately—from credible, stable pillar-of-community to playful/pugnacious when useful.
• Press releases: prepare and place when warranted.
• Provide copy-editing and drafting assistance on documents such as reports, briefs, and partnership materials.

• Write pragmatic, testable, performant code that consistently works.
• Take full ownership of feature development, from initial discussions with designers and product managers through deployment and impact analysis.
• Implement and ship features related to how forecasters enter their predictions, get feedback, and interact with other forecasters, and how these predictions are being used.
• Serve new functionality to our partners, ranging from nonprofits to governmental agencies to corporations.
• Collaborate with other engineers in technical architecture designs, code reviews, infrastructure and CI/CD maintenance and platform monitoring.
• Collaborate with product & design on product roadmaps and feature brainstorms.
• Mentor junior engineers and build a cohesive engineering culture with a high standard for the quality of execution.
