About the role

  • Evaluate and manage marketing and advertisement needs of the agency providing detail reports of effectiveness and cost to the executive team.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing media goals as set by the agency, as well as negotiating media contracts and purchasing advertisement as approved by the management team.
  • Oversee the vehicle donation program, includes pick-up and sale of donated vehicles.
  • Manages program budgets and adheres to fiduciary restraints for marketing and media as well as the car donation program.
  • Develop and implements media plan/objectives and strategies for the agency which includes purchase and negotiations as approved by the management team.
  • Negotiate contracts with media, auctioneers, salvage dealers and towing companies.
  • Direct the design of media and marketing material and manage contracts.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with media and marketing contacts.
  • Maintains purchase orders/invoice logs; checks all invoices for accuracy; coordinates activities with accounting department.
  • Oversees purchase and renewal of all applicable licenses and submit reports to state(s) as required.
  • Institute track and adhere to all IRS tax rules/regulations and monitoring same for changes.
  • Reporting sales to IRS as mandated.
  • Oversees detailed vehicle tracking and financial reports to the accounting department and executive team.
  • Maintains all related program files, inventory logs and title records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as communication, marketing, non-profit management, or community development.
  • Five years of experience in marketing/media purchasing, or a related field.
  • Requires excellent written communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Must be able to work after-hours and on weekends and must be able to travel to multiple locations on a regular basis.
  • An MBA, MA in Communication, or MA in PR, and experience in media relations is preferred.
