About the role

  • Provides agency phone support from a front desk setting.
  • Directs visitors, consumers, and vendors with various needs.
  • Must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Provides information regarding programs and agency events.
  • Responsible for receiving and sending Fed-Ex, over-night, and other priority mailings.
  • Maintains visitor daily sign-in/out logs.
  • Assist HR department with filing, coping documents, as well as file maintenance as needed.
  • Responsible for notification to upper management of any suspicious person, packages, or happenings within the facility.
  • Checks over-night and weekend messages daily, taking messages and distributing as appropriate.
  • Required to answer the phone as follows: "Thank you for calling MERS/Goodwill, how may I help you."
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School required the ability to read at a six-grade level or higher, a minimum of six months office experience preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented with exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Must be polite and friendly to all visitors, guests, consumers, co-workers, and vendors.
