About the role
- Provides agency phone support from a front desk setting.
- Directs visitors, consumers, and vendors with various needs.
- Must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.
- Provides information regarding programs and agency events.
- Responsible for receiving and sending Fed-Ex, over-night, and other priority mailings.
- Maintains visitor daily sign-in/out logs.
- Assist HR department with filing, coping documents, as well as file maintenance as needed.
- Responsible for notification to upper management of any suspicious person, packages, or happenings within the facility.
- Checks over-night and weekend messages daily, taking messages and distributing as appropriate.
- Required to answer the phone as follows: "Thank you for calling MERS/Goodwill, how may I help you."
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School required the ability to read at a six-grade level or higher, a minimum of six months office experience preferred.
- Must be detailed oriented with exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Must be polite and friendly to all visitors, guests, consumers, co-workers, and vendors.
