About the role
- Maintenance of organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and sales floor.
- Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
- Displays merchandise on the sales floor by stocking, straightening, and rotating merchandise.
- Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working at a quick and steady pace.
- Efficiently and safely transports items, carts, racks, and bins to and from sales floor.
- Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store, to include sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, in an efficient manner to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
- Upholds cleanliness standards of the store by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and/or shining surfaces.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
- Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft.
- Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, or employee hotline.
- Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies and Goodwill Retail procedures as well as safety and security regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- No educational requirements.
- Ability to speak English effectively to respond to questions from customers, donors, team members, and leadership.
- Basic math skills preferred.
