About the role
- Create and take responsibility for the technical documentation of our products in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., DIN EN 82079, ANSI Z535)
- Design and produce user, assembly and quick-start manuals as well as software descriptions and associated illustrations
- Research technical matters and develop documentation concepts for new products
- Optimize processes and structures and drive forward digitalization projects
- Support integration into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Coordinate external service providers and align requirements and solutions with internal specialist departments
Requirements
- Degree in technical communication or vocational training as a technical editor; alternatively a comparable qualification as a state-certified technician or master craftsman in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in technical writing, ideally with complex technical products
- Initial experience in technical leadership or project coordination
- Understanding of digitalization processes and modular, media-neutral and cross-media documentation concepts
- Experience with common authoring and graphics tools (e.g., Adobe CC, CorelDraw, SolidWorks)
- Structured, meticulous working style with strong communication skills and very good German and English language skills
