About the role
- Oversee management of the development office
- Focus on expanding Meridian’s network for individual and major gift donors
- Responsible for directly fundraising
- Ensure retention of existing donors
- Responsible for raising $300k+ in new gifts from individuals annually
- Communicate regularly with individual donors
- Draft fundraising collateral
- Work closely with the special events team
- Provide input on goals and portfolios for budget
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in International Relations, Public Policy or related fields
- 10 years of progressive responsibility in a non-profit fundraising environment and an interest and familiarity with international affairs
- Confident and accomplished front-line fundraising experience
- Demonstrated experience closing complex, multiyear gifts
- Strong experience with major event fundraising
- Experience working on a capital campaign preferred
- Experience managing staff
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Salesforce database and Microsoft Office software packages
