About the role
- Manage and grow a book of business consisting of several top-performing national accounts
- Build, maintain, and protect long-term customer relationships
- Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within existing accounts
- Conduct monthly touchpoints and quarterly business reviews with key clients
- Follow up post-service to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
- Request referrals to expand partnerships and identify new opportunities
- Facilitate clear handoffs to Operations and Administrative teams
- Prospect and acquire new customers through multiple channels
- Actively manage a top target account list
- Leverage LinkedIn and networking tools to engage decision-makers
- Qualify and prioritize leads to maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Secure signed Master Service Agreements with qualified clients
- Attend trade shows and industry events as needed
- Educate prospects on Meridian’s unique process and service approach
- Identify client needs through thoughtful questioning and active listening
- Develop tailored, service-based solutions for large-scale opportunities
- Clearly articulate Meridian’s value and differentiation from competitors
- Learn about Meridian’s wide array of services including our Fortify Team
- Stay up to date on industry and customer changes
- Work closely with national customers by building long-term relationships, understanding their business needs, and delivering consultative solutions that drive value, retention, and sustainable growth

Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience OR management experience working with big box, retail, grocery, or similar environments
- Ability to travel nationwide up to 40%
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Self-starter with a proactive, consultative sales approach
- Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels
