About the role
- Oversees the daily production operations and other assigned areas
- Monitors operations for efficiency and safety
- Develops production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations
- Establishes operational strategies to assure company objectives
- Accountable for assigned site’s key performance metrics
- Proactively monitors site capacity and collaborates on scheduling optimization
- Conducts equipment feasibility studies and makes capital investment recommendations
- Collaborates to set continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepares and manages the annual financial plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective movement of goods
- Knowledge of strategic issues and management of a manufacturing facility
- Ability to lead people and get results through others
- Ability to think ahead and plan over a specific time span
- Ability to establish high performance teams
