About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 10 Content Engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery, performance consistency, and ongoing skill development.
  • Own and execute regular audits of Content Engineer work, including crawler configurations, XPath/Regex accuracy, data quality, and content coverage.
  • Actively support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members in alignment with Meltwater standards and culture.
  • Conduct continuous performance assessments, providing clear feedback, coaching, and development plans.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex crawling, extraction, and data-quality issues.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in advanced problem-solving, including website analysis, source inspection, and debugging extraction logic.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and QA teams to share audit insights and production learnings, contributing to tooling and process improvements.
  • Oversee resolution of escalated, customer-impacting issues with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze team metrics, audit results, and operational trends to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Foster a high-trust, inclusive team environment that encourages ownership, accountability, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of 10 or more members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM structures.
  • Solid understanding of XPath and Regular Expressions, including auditing and validating complex extraction logic.
  • Working knowledge of HTTP concepts such as status codes, redirects, authentication, and headers.
  • Practical experience using SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and dynamic content behavior.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ownership of quality outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
