About the role
- Responsible for all activities relevant to Reservations including assisting with enquiries and bookings
- Liaising with key departments and establishing strong client relationships
- Displaying exceptional phone and customer service skills
- Review pick-up trends, occupancy history, and market segment development
- Liaising with Melia revenue services on competitor analysis and local market trends
- Cross-checking and updating all new reservations and address daily cancellations
- Ensuring daily reservations and group enquiries are followed up in a timely manner
- Controlling rooms inventory and mentoring a small team of Reservations Agents
- Loading and maintaining rates in Melia Guest Reservations System
Requirements
- Extensive experience using Opera PMS is essential
- Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management or Supervisory role
- Comprehensive understanding of hotel systems
- Ability to manage time efficiently with competing deadlines
- Ability to liaise professionally, including excellent telephone and email etiquette
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
