About the role

  • Responsible for all activities relevant to Reservations including assisting with enquiries and bookings
  • Liaising with key departments and establishing strong client relationships
  • Displaying exceptional phone and customer service skills
  • Review pick-up trends, occupancy history, and market segment development
  • Liaising with Melia revenue services on competitor analysis and local market trends
  • Cross-checking and updating all new reservations and address daily cancellations
  • Ensuring daily reservations and group enquiries are followed up in a timely manner
  • Controlling rooms inventory and mentoring a small team of Reservations Agents
  • Loading and maintaining rates in Melia Guest Reservations System

Requirements

  • Extensive experience using Opera PMS is essential
  • Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management or Supervisory role
  • Comprehensive understanding of hotel systems
  • Ability to manage time efficiently with competing deadlines
  • Ability to liaise professionally, including excellent telephone and email etiquette
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
