About the role
- Understand the e-commerce market and customer/seller needs via landscape analysis, customer interviews, user research, competition analysis and other qualitative/quantitative techniques
- Identify and prioritize problems to be solved and decompose them into smaller chunks
- Facilitate solution discovery and experimentation using MVPs and prototypes
- Define detailed product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
- Ensure product quality through user acceptance testing and dogfooding
- Create go-to-market plans with business and marketing stakeholders to maximize product adoption
- Define and track product metrics, analyze usage patterns, and implement action plans to improve metrics
- Create a product roadmap with at least a 3-month forward view of customer/business problems
- Manage and lead a small product team towards execution
Requirements
- Overall experience of 7+ yrs with atleast 4+ yrs in product management in a tech-led company (consumer internet space is preferred)
- Exceptional problem solving skills based on first principles thinking
- Good understanding of technology
- Comfort with product management processes such as A/B experimentation, writing product requirement documents, managing product backlogs, and creating roadmaps
- Cross-functional leadership experience working with engineering, UX/design, business, analytics, marketing, operations, and finance
- Ability to manage and mentor a small team of product analysts and associate product managers
- Passion for solving high impact problems in a fast paced start-up environment with a high degree of autonomy
