About the role

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Pursue leads, assess customer needs and provide product services to maximize benefits from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services to customers
  • Conduct market research including customers' and competitors' activities
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and make changes as needed
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships, develop new customer relationships, implement sales strategies and close sales
  • Go into healthcare settings as an essential function of the job and comply with credentialing requirements

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A))
  • 0 years of experience required with an introductory knowledge of company products and services
  • Requires broad knowledge of sales techniques typically gained through education and/or on the job learning
  • Learn to use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
  • Ability to develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to pursue leads, assess needs and provide product services
  • Ability to promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services
  • Ability to conduct market research including customers and competitors activities
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders
  • For sales reps and other patient facing field employees, comply with all credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics they support
