About the role
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies and plans to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Design, implement, and maintain manual test cases for software applications
- Develop test plans, test scripts, and test data for functional, integration, and regression testing
- Collaborate with software developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams for timely resolution
- Lead and mentor junior test engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise
- Continuously improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in reviews and ensure best practices in software quality
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO for medical devices)
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation (Preferred)
- Experience in testing software for medical devices or regulated industries (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies (Preferred)
- ISTQB or similar certification (Preferred)
- Required: B. E or B. Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer
- Preferred: M. E or M. Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer
