About the role
- Establish and deepen trusted relationships at the C-Suite, executive supply chain, and service line leadership levels within assigned strategic health systems.
- Develop and execute enterprise-level account strategies aligned to health system strategic priorities.
- Lead executive engagement plans, including quarterly business reviews, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Identify and advance cross-portfolio growth opportunities across all Medtronic Operating Units.
- Drive multi-category agreements, innovation access programs, and enterprise-wide value frameworks.
- Accelerate progression of accounts along the value chain from Vendor → Primary Vendor → Preferred Supplier.
- Own the enterprise account plan, ensuring alignment across Operating Units, Service & Solutions, Portfolio Leaders, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead enterprise operating mechanisms (Blueprint reviews, opportunity governance, executive cadence).
- Serve as the enterprise quarterback, aligning OU Presidents, Sales & Marketing VPs, Field Leadership, and Corporate Accounts teams around a unified account strategy.
- Be accountable for enterprise-level growth targets, portfolio expansion, and strategic KPI delivery within assigned systems.
- Identify opportunities to help customers optimize cost, improve outcomes, expand patient access, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Co-create innovative partnership models including risk-sharing, operational pilots, service-line integration, and site-of-care expansion strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business (preferably), science, medicine or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years relevant sales experience for a bachelor’s degree or minimum 13 years with an advanced degree.
- Business management experience in senior and complex roles.
- Expert level understanding of US Federal government healthcare (Dept of VA, Dept of War) clinical and operational structure
- Working knowledge of SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) sales strategy to streamline US Fed Gov’t procurement
- Comprehension of key FAR and DFAR clauses including implication to procurement of medical technologies
- Previous experience working in a regulated industry in Medical Device, Healthcare or Pharma in a multinational environment with a significant matrix component
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed
