About the role

  • Supports the ongoing management of the strategic partnerships program by collaborating with the vendor management team
  • Ensure consistent processes with the vendor management team and Global IT’s top suppliers.
  • Applies established governance and partnership frameworks to supplier management activities
  • Builds relationships internally and externally with account teams, technology SMEs, and executive sponsors.
  • Manages the segmentation of suppliers into tiers
  • Maintains criteria for Global IT’s investment level in strategic suppliers and partners.
  • Coordinates Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Executive Supplier Reviews (ESRs)
  • Supports agenda preparation, attendee management, and meeting prioritization
  • Works with the vendor management team to maintain relationship ladders and stakeholder maps
  • Supports the execution of our annual Supplier Summit by coordinating logistics and assisting with general event planning
  • Connects Medtronic’s needs with partner capabilities by administering stakeholder conversations
  • Supports the tracking and execution of identified use cases that leverage new-to-Medtronic supplier capabilities in digital, AI, and automation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Strongly Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or business-related field.
  • 8+ years working in some combination of IT operations, procurement, vendor management, or business development
  • 6+ years working with large, strategic IT suppliers, preferably across a variety of commodity areas- i.e. Hardware, Software, Network and IT Services.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to influence – both internally and externally
